CONAN X FUNKO

Background: In our fourth year of partnership with Funko, the Covid shutdown cancelled our plans for an experiential activation at San Diego Comic Con where we traditionally distribute our yearly set of nearly 16,000 custom Conan Funko Pop! Figures.

Strategy: Launch a sweepstakes to drive opt-ins to Team Coco CRM and distribute the 16,000 individual Funko figures to fans in a Covid-safe process. We tapped into Conan’s unique brand of comedy to create custom content of Conan-Drones delivering these Funko figures to fans and drive them to enter the sweepstakes across a five-week window, gathering codes only provided during episodes of Conan on tbs.

Responsibilities: Develop/manage partnership with Funko and other licensors (Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, DC Comics), managed agencies, collaborated on creative development and shoot production, worked with legal on rules, and stood up sweepstakes site.

Resuts: Drove over 130,000 entries into the sweepstakes and saw an increase in linear viewership across the 5 weeks of the giveaway as fans tuned in to receive codes to enter the contest. Won a CLIOS Bronze award in the brand partnership category.
